I hope JHJ plan to bring harm to Yeoninggun backfired on him…as until now his plan never succeed. Poor boy who knows nothing suddenly implicated with a crime.He must be really scared. I don’t want to see JHJ anymore as I feel really mad when he think to plot something against Yeoninggun and implicate him.I hope Sukjong and Dong Yi able to protect him.

In retrospect, even if I had never heard of DY, that spider was history.
In History and entertainment, I have a feeling that JHB should have never went down the Shamans path.
Don’t you feel like it is Mdm Yoon who will bring the house down?

How does she pop her eyes out like that?  Not all people with brn eyes can do that! Hee Bin can do it very well. I hope she gives us all that Hokey-Pokey stare, just as she drinks that cocktail sending her on the Hell bound train.

Although from the director view the perfect foil was JHJ, without his stupid ideas and reckless bravado, no one would have listened to him. Later I never thought JMY and JHJ would get along.
Yet his sister did listen, with complete trust. He ruined her life and all the diabolical plans of the South-side extortion group. Makes ya just love Govt.
Remember when he first returned, no one took what he said at all seriously. Then one scheme came together and they all joined in. Which one was more incredible to watch? His sister slowly selling her soul or the South-side councilor, biting into the JHJ apple. Then the councilor even told his nephew to follow JHJ. Incredibly, indelibly the director Lee Byung Hoon, had us then as we were slowly beginning to hate jang hee jae. Of course those that like JHJ were loving every minute.
For me, since the kid arrived, Geum ya! I have not missed spider woman or her spider monkey brother one bit. Once again director Lee will waste no time in having Jang Inc. do something to that young lad that will make the blood boil.

Wow! thank you so much for those first and last 15-minute recaps, Jackie. Those included the very scenes I was most curious about.

First and foremost, I’m sending heavenly thoughts of peace to Queeni Inhyeon. Sigh, if she has only survived then everything would have been much easier and less painful. 

It’s a good thing that King Sukjong has doubts on Chwi Seon dang. I think the reason why he said to Dong Yi that whatever move he makes will still provide difficulties for her is that if she stays in a rank lower than JHB, it will be difficult for her because there will be times when she has no choice but to follow her superior. If she becomes the same level as JHB, the latter will think of her as a threat and JHB will think of means to eliminate that threat. Sigh…

With regards to DongYi’s actions, when she asked her son to “pretend not to know elementary learning” in one of the episodes before, that rendered an emotional difficulty on the prince and I think that incident made DongYi involve the serious emotional implication of her actions to Prince Yeoning. The final straw of asking for a truce between her and JHB was the growing fondness between the two brothers. I don’t think she doesn’t know what possible difficulties this action will render her since she was seen in deep thoughts prior to going to see JHB and she also didn’t give JHB the evidence of JHJ’s dagger. I’ve always remembered what she told Jung Sanggung when she gave Yoo Sanggung a second chance, that she knew that the very arm she was extending might also be harmed or something like that.

I think that in DongYi’s mind, if she succeeds in asking JHB a peaceful future coexistence, Crown Prince Yun and Prince Yeonings brotherly relationship will definitely flourish, and that way, she can also protect her son’s life. I also think that Dong Yi also thinks how it will seriously affect the Crown Prince if his mother is to be implicated. But to achieve this truce, Dong Yi has to give up something that is equally important to her, and that is the shamanistic evidence and she has to let JHB feel that Prince Yeoning is not a threat as a successor to the throne. When she gave that grateful look at the end, I think it was because she weas sincerely offering a truce. But if this plan will not succeed, there will always be the solid evidence of JHJ’s dagger.

I know I will again be in a minority in this one but I’d like to think that JHB would have considered to agree with Dong Yi’s offer if only the following incidents did not occur:
1. Dong yi’s rise to the “bin” status
2. JHJ seeing JMY handing over the female physician to SYG

But then again, I like seeing those 2 things come true.

I also think JHJ’s plan of implicating Prince Yeoning will lead to JHJ’s demise.

Somehow, the romantic and funny moments of this drama satiates my heart, but their political plots satiate my mind. I just love how the writer depicts human emotions in this drama. And I just love how Jackie translates not just the dialogues but their actions to us.
