From Jackies wording I noticed when reading to everyone here that she the Queen was implying in the third person that YOU”LL be paying for your crime against the CP. Yet Senor Muyoel couldnot get his head around it all. He could not change his old way of thinking and walked right into His own arrest order. I say, how embarrassing! Of course embarrass has the word ASS in it and that has always been Mu Yoel’s biggest problem he is an ass. Sorry! I couldn’t help but think about Fanny and Farhah while I reread Jackie’s write up just now. I always read whats up with either of them. Ladies, you only have two episodes to change your mind on this Queen.She is a tough nut to crack, Some how Dong Yi has done it again. For me though, two is not enough!

As I read over the minutes I wondered if Sukjong in all of his planning knows that his house is being taken over.  I find the whole idea of a palace and one of the Kings wives(concubine) being manhandled by someone else completely off the chart. Maybe he does not succeed that is for the viewer to find out. But for JMY to march in to the Palace and say when DY is moving is way out of bounds and criminal. How can he even think about doing this even if JMY has no respect for the King and very little is ever given. One would like to think that an official of high government service has some respect for the office or institution of the King.
Am I off base in thinking this, I mean if an officer marches into a palace anywhere in the world and promotes his agenda, I always thought that is treason and the seeds for a coup. So I think JMY has flipped his gourd to even attempt this.
Oh… my hat is off to Stephen J Cannel, who like Jackie one of the most prolific writers to ever look at a keyboard. Many of the reruns airing around the world were penned by him. He passed from complication to skin cancer. So watch out for that sunshine, I know many of you have been watching Dong Yi outdoors these past months. Just be nice to your skin.

Awww… I can’t help but smile when I read this. Apart from giving protection to his children, King Sukjong’s ultimate dream is to live with Dong Yi as husband and wife for the rest of their lives. 
Poor Prince Yeoning, he could not fathom having to live far from his beloved mother. His willing to live anywhere just as long as it is with mother. 
And Crown Prince Yun is willing to do anything for the person he trusts the most in the palace.
Jang Mu Yeol thinks his making a puppet out of the young Queen. Good thing that the queen was observant. She noticed that the rumours were different from what she has observed with Sukbin.

Whew! Talk about lifelines. You certainly are my lifeline Jackie. These days all I seem to do over the internet is surf looking for pages that will give me translations of the new episodes. I have mentioned before in previous comments that events in the series differ from historical events as they actually happened in history that liberties are taken with character names, relationships, physical appearance and the timing of events.
Scriptwriters are commissioned to write an entertainment, a soap opera, and not history …
It will be seen disheartening if we act like custodian of history, as someone already express how far fetched the series has become
Therefore for public audience to watch as entertainment; consideration to some changes were made for production purpose & some to avoid viewer confusion, and that “any confusion created by the changes is outweighed by the interest the series may inspire in the period and its historical figures
Hence shouting that this will never happened in history or real life will be true but then this is also entertainment
For example the classic novel ” The Romance of the 3 Kingdoms” is a great story book that defer from actual historical fact, but yet people imagine & illusion that what is written in the novel is seen as historical facts

Prepare for some serious flashbacks in the next episode, I suggest getting a pair of sunglasses ready cos who knows how many white flashes they’re going to use
I had hope this series will eventually pick up a week into the finale but so boring to watch even when it’s supposed to be a suspenseful episode
If the actress who plays Queen Inwon does a better job in acting than pouting then she would’ve won some brownie points from me for her decision to have JMY arrested

In the past, many times Sukjong had made easy choices or cover things up, on the other hand, Dong Yi never did that, she always makes responsible and difficult choices even if they hurt her. I think Sukjong finally learning this from her and choose to abdicate on behalf of both his sons.

Jackie, (Need your input) My understanding that Cha Chun Soo was a real historical figure. Is that so? If so can you answer this question. In my research I found him to be true, he lived to be 55 years of age, and actually was a family friend, how true is this.

I was wondering if Jang Mu Yeol started everything about this master plan of his and Dong Yi just did some countermeasures and sent a letter to Jungjong Mama throught Jeong Sang Gung and Jung Im. From the first few scenes, it seems that Queen Inwon already had a change of heart towards Dong Yi. I was also thinking that she has already foreseen everything like what happened before with the military book but then again, she wouldn’t go the extent of putting the Crown Prince in danger just for the sake of capturing JMY in action.
Why was Sukjong so angry with the letter. I don’t think that’s from Dong Yi because she never sent him any letter before asking for help. My guess is that it is from…the Queen?

The letter that Sukjong has is from Choi Dong Yi that was past through Jeong Sang Gung to Queen Inwon & in turn despatch from Queen Inwon residence. No one is observing Queen Inwon’s residence as all focus was on Bo Gyeong Dang
The upset is that Jang Mu Yeol plot to threaten harm at Crown Prince Yun as a smoke screen to laid the blame on Choi Dong Yi. The letter could indicate that Sukjong must take a stand down position while his Women in his Royal Household handles Jang Mu Yeol & asked his trust that they will catch him red handed with immient risk & danger involves if this fails

Has anyone noticed that Jackie worded her words rather carefully in the scene between the Queen and Jang Mu Yeol?
If that’s exactly the way the queen says it, then i think that she may have already known rather than change her mind in a few short minutes…she never actually directly says Dong Yi. Simply that:

“Dare to bring harm to Crown Prince Yun & the crime that threaten the Royal Household will have accept the punishment of those crimes”

I can’t say for sure because i haven’t watched the episode nor has Jackie graced us with her written presence since, but from what i have heard, he did make an attempt at the Crown Prince…
So she may have been refering to him without actually stating it…

But that’s simply what i have been wondering about and itching to ask others for their opinion on.

And to Jackie. You are indescribable! Just want to say how much i appreciate all your summaries and and insights (which i must say are usually spot on!) as well as your history lessons!!!

Queen Inwon doesn’t refer by name, just giving 3rd party references, in the 1st 20 mins of the episode, Queen Inwon late visit to Bo Gyeong Dang to question Choi Dong Yi reason why she decline the designation to ascend as Queen Consort then also Choi ODng Yi’s concern on Crown Prince Yun’s welfare & Choi Dong Yi straightforward & directly told Queen Inwon about her aspiration which Sukjong has put it as her “greed ambition to aspire”. Choi Dong is honest that she doesn’t beat around the bushes.

Queen Inwon, although horrid as we all see her, she has to be made of something in order to be Queen Consort

You don’t get to see the true picture of Queen Inwon’s wile contrivance just in glimpses as Jang Mu Yeol & the audience gets caught up in concentrating on Jang Mu Yeol trying to get Choi Dong Yi & all focus was on Choi Dong Yi, but Jang Mu Yeol undermind Queen Inwon’s dupery. Jang Mu Yeol being as arrogant as he is, doesn’t think high regard for Queen Inwon since he thinks that he can manipulate under his charms

In the end, it is Queen Inwon who checkmate Jang Mu Yeol with triumphant results…”Touche” as the American will put it a “homer”

JMY plan to throw DY out of the palace day earlier, so everyone thinks JMY is going to harm DY & geum so cha soon cha arranges for private armies to line the route where DY will depart to her private palace…BUT actually the evil JMY is going to fake an attempt on the crown prince’s life & blame it all on DY & Cha soon cha!!

wow episode 58 is exciting…but taking long time to load

Dear Nutty…ep 58 is like a battle of wits between Dong Yi and Jang Mu Yeol…I guess ep59 will have a cloud of flashback on how Dong Yi plan her counter attack which eventually led to JMY death. What make me curious is that JMY plan seems perfect and I almost believe that Dong Yi will be in a great danger but it turn out that his plan backfired on him.

I would love to see him get tortured during interrogation. I guess the royal court will get a great shock that JMY get arrested..well everyone see him like a righteous person but in the end he is the one which use despicable and evil method to eliminate his enemy
